The inserted graph above Dr. Cooper's photo has been scanned from his "Start Strong, Finish Strong" book and enhanced by adding black and red color to the graph. The black depicts the decline in human functionality with age based on level of fitness. That is, the lower the fitness level the more diminished the human functionality. The red shows the difference for a fit person. That is, a fit person is able to continue much human functionality right up to their demise. Stated differently, the red represents much of the "quality of life" and is directly correlated to fitness.

What's Your Hot Button

Exercise feels good

Cool clothes
Health crisis
Fear of death
Physical functioning
Mental function
Spiritual

Start Strong, Finish Strong includes text about each of the above catalysts. You may have more than one and you may have some not on the above list. When you identify something that motivates you to move more .... push it often.
